The National Weather Service In Norman Has Issued A
* Flash Flood Warning For
Oklahoma County In Central Oklahoma
Lincoln County In Central Oklahoma
Southeastern Logan County In Central Oklahoma
* Until Noon CDT
* At 931 AM CDT, Doppler Radar Indicated Thunderstorms Producing
Heavy Rain Across The Warned Area. Between One And Two Inches Of
Rain Has Already Fallen In Parts Of The Warned Area. Flash
Flooding Is Imminent.
* Some Locations That Will Experience Flooding Include
Oklahoma City, Eastern Edmond, Midwest City, Del City, Guthrie,
Chandler, Bethany, Choctaw, Warr Acres, The Village, Harrah,
Spencer, Nichols Hills, Jones, Stroud, Nicoma Park, Luther,
Davenport, Wellston And Carney.
Additional Rainfall Amounts Of Two Inches Are Possible In The Warned
Precautionary / Preparedness Actions:
Turn Around, Don`T Drown When Encountering Flooded Roads. Most Flood
Deaths Occur In Vehicles.
Excessive Runoff From Heavy Rainfall Will Cause Flooding Of Small
Creeks And Streams, Urban Areas, Highways, Streets And Underpasses As
Well As Other Drainage Areas And Low Lying Spots.
